The 13-year-old boy raped at Circus Circus in Las Vegas on Sunday was visiting Las Vegas with a relative when he was allegedly pulled into a hotel room and raped by a 23-year-old Saudi Sergeant.
The rape occurred on New Year’s Eve.
Mazen Alotaibi, a member of the Saudi Arabian military, pulled the boy into his hotel room at approximately 7:30 am on Monday.
The boy was forced to perform oral sex and was penetrated anally. He was able to get out of the hotel room when Alotaibi went to get dressed.
He then told hotel security about the assault, said there there were three other men in the room smoking marijuana and that none of them spoke English. He was taken to University Medical center, where evidence was found of the sexual assault.
It has not been made clear if the boy and adult he was with were staying on the same floor of the hotel (the sixth floor) and if the boy and Alotaibi has met each other before the rape.
Alotaibi, who was stationed at Lackland Air Force Base outside San Antonio, TX, told police he offered the boy money for sex, and when he refused, he raped the 13-year-old.
He said he was drinking Hennessy all night and was drunk when he met the boy. He admitted that he “put his penis in his mouth for just a couple of seconds” and that his penis “accidentally” went into the boy’s rectum.
Alotaibi has been charged with kidnapping, sexual assault of a minor and lewdness.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for later this month.
There have supposedly been assurances that international authorities will not intervene and that Alotaibi will remain jailed without any outside interference.
It is not known if the three men who were present in the room will be charged.
