5. Eliminate any unnecessary clutter from your property and ensure that your lawn is regularly trimmed.
6. Keep trash cans covered both inside and outside.  It is very important not to place plastic bags outside, especially if there are food remnants in it.  It is best to invest in a metal trash can with cover.
