
A 9-year-old child flies to Las Vegas from Minneapolis without a ticket prompting numerous security concerns.
The adventure for the unnamed minor began on Wednesday when he ran away from home.
After arriving at the airport, he passed the time by stealing luggage off of a carousel. Then, he went into a restaurant and ordered a meal and asked the server to watch his bag while he went to the restroom. he never returned to pay the bill.
The very next day he returned to the airport and made it through a number of security checkpoints. It is believed that he stayed near other families and ultimately boarded the delta Airlines Vegas bound flight without a boarding pass.

The cunning child, according to airport spokesperson, Patrick Hogan, waited until the person attending to the gate for boarding was busy and simply walked on the plane.
He reportedly told flight attendants that his parents were sitting in the back of the plane. Finally, enough suspicions were aroused that midway through the flight someone checked the roster of children traveling alone and realized that his name was not on it.
After landing in Las Vegas, the boy was taken into custody by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police and Child Protective Services who will arrange transport back to Minneapolis.
The child is known to authorities at the airport in his home state and was also recently suspended from school.
The boys mother said that she thought he was at a friends house. Since Child Protective Services is involved, it is possible that further actions could be taken depending upon their investigation.
Hogan has said that he has never seen a case like this. The TSA released a statement that said,
The child was screened along with all other passengers to ensure that he was not a threat to the aircraft.
