Criminal duo Bobbie Jo Curtis and son brutally beat man met on internet dating site.
Monster Mom Bobbie Jo Curtis, 40 apparently met the victim on the singlesnet.com website. Bobbie Jo Curtis has a long rap sheet with the Tampa Bay Times reporting she has been arrested 14 times in the past 11 years for crimes including robbery, battery, and dealing prescription drugs. Online records indicate she has also been busted for possession of cocaine and possession of drug related paraphernalia.
Supposedly just a week after meeting the unidentified man on the site, he opened his home to Bobbie Jo Curtis and her 16 year old son, Bryan Curtis.
This past Friday is when the criminal duo, along with the assistance of another woman, Vanessa Musson beat the man severely.
The motive was obviously robbery because, the Huffington Post reports, the man was forced to disclose the combination to his safe as well as provide the criminals with his pin number so they could access his bank account.
He was tied to a chair and beaten until he provided the information.
Bobbie Jo Curtis, Bryan Curtis and Vanessa Musson also stole items from the house including guns, a flat screen TV and other items that they piled into his Econoline van.
A 69 year old neighbor of the unidentified man wasn’t sure what was going on when he saw the suspects loading up the neighbor’s van.
He asked about his neighbor and unsuccessfully attempted to go into his residence to check on him .
He didn’t make it too far and was hit with a baseball bat and a hammer which knocked him unconscious.
The neighbor suffered a broken jaw and a concussion.
Someone then called police; it was either the 69 year old neighbor after he regained consciousness or another neighbor who witnessed the attack.
When police arrived, the suspects were long gone.
They did receive a tip that the victims stolen van was at a motel in New Port Richey but police did not find the van. They did however find and arrest Bobbie
Jo Curtis and Bryan Curtis.
Vanessa Musson, a woman in her 20’s with blonde hair who is being described as having many tattoos, is on the run.
She is believed to be driving the victims white Econoline van which has Florida license plate 366-TQH.
Bobbie Jo Curtis, 40, and her 16 year old son, Bryan Curtis who is being charged as an adult, have been charged with attempted homicide and unlawful imprisonment.
They are also charged with aggravated battery and grand theft auto
