It’s been more than a year since Morgan Martin was last seen by her family.
The pregnant 17-year-old had stepped out of her home on July 25, 2012 to speak with the father of her baby, Jacobee Flowers, 25.
Martin had just found out the sex of the baby and was eager to share the news with Flowers.
Her mother, Leah Martin, did not want her daughter to have a relationship with Martin
Dressed in her bed clothes, she took her cell phone with her and never returned home.
Although a body has not been found, police are treating the case as a homicide and even Martins’s mother knows that a positive outcome is not likely. She said,
Flowers has been questioned by police numerous times and has been described as cooperative.
Flowers had a criminal record with for crimes ranging from home invasion to theft as well as serious traffic offenses.
He was arrested four months after Martin’s disappearance for fleeing and eluding and reckless driving following a late night high speed chase on U.S. Highway 19, according to Wfla.com, and pleaded guilty in exchange for three years probation and two years revocation of his driver license.
News Channel Eight attempted to interview him about the Martin case and Flowers refused to comment.
