Convicted killer Joran Van Der Sloot says he got woman pregnant during conjugal visit in Peruvian prison but his lawyer is denying it.
ABC news reports that Van Der Sloot told Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, that a woman, who is only identified as “Leidi”, was pregnant with his child.
Van Der Sloot’s lawyer, Maximo Altez, told ABC News that the reports are not true and that the woman told him she was not pregnant.
It is quite surprising to many that a convicted killer is granted conjugal visits.
Van Der Sloot has a long history of telling stories and then re-canting them.
Many think he fits the classic definition of a sociopath.
His own lawyer blamed the pregnancy rumors on his client.
It has been reported that “Leidi”, whose real name is allegedly Carol Figueroa Uceda, was granted conjugal visits with the convicted killer.
Figueroa apparently ran errands for Van Der Sloot’s lawyer and the lawyer is the one who arranged the conjugal visits with his client.
Van Der Sloot is currently serving 28 years in a Peruvian prison for the murder of Stefany Flores, who he met in a casino in Lima, Peru.
He brought Flores back to his hotel room and murdered her five years to the date of the death of Natalee Holloway.
Although not charged with her murder, Van Der Sloot has long been a suspect in the murder of Natalee Holloway who went missing in Aruba in 2005.
Joran Van Der Sloot says he got woman pregnant during conjugal visit in Peruvian prison and even if true it will have no bearing on the charges he faces in the United States.
Should he be released from the Peruvian prison, he will not be able to evade extradition to the United States because he married a Peruvian woman or fathered a Peruvian child.
Van Der Sloot is wanted in the United States on charges that he attempted to extort Natalee Holloway’s parents, promising them that he would tell them where her body was located in exchange for money.
