Las Vegas man Joshua Davenport kidnaps, rapes 13 year old neighbor

A Las Vegas man Joshua Davenport kidnaps, rapes 13 year old neighbor who was doing her laundry when she accosted by the predator, according to what the unnamed told police.

Davenport lives at the same apartment complex as the 13 year old located at Washington ave and Rainbow Blvd.

According to the Las Vegas Review Journal, the unnamed 13 year old was doing laundry last week at approximately 7:30pm and her mother went to run errands.

When the mother came back her daughter was done.

The mother reported reported her daughter’s disappearance to police.

Davenport allegedly abducted her at gunpoint and took the young girl to his apartment where she says she was forced to take a shower and to take pills. The pills allegedly were allergy medication.

Police had heard that Davenport was seen with the missing girl and knocked on his apartment’s door

There was no answer and the office left because he did not have enough cause to enter the apartment.

The young girl claims that when police knocked on the door, she was forced into the bathroom and that the suspect made threats to her.

She as then allegedly raped and was able to flee the apartment when the suspect fell asleep at approximately 2:30am .

Police then came back to the apartment, spoke with Davenport and then arrested him.

Davenport had a completely different version of events. He said he allowed the girl use a phone in his home after he noticed she was arguing with her boyfriend.

He said the boyfriend left, but the girl decided to stay, even when he asked her to leave. He said he then went to sleep and didn’t wake up until he heard the bullhorn.

The review Journal notes that the girl was examined at University Medical Center (UMC), and there were signs of sexual trauma and signs that the girl had recently had sex.

Davenport has been charged with 11 counts related to the alleged rape and kidnapping; 4counts of Sexual Assault With Deadly Weapon-victim, 4 counts of Sexual Assault With A Deadly Weapon,  and one count each of Lewdness With A Minor Under 14, Battery W/intent T/commit Sexual Assault and Kidnap 1st Degree.

The suspect also has a prior record for an arrest in 2010 of Battery (Domestic Violence) Strangulation.
