A homeless man tried to pay bartender with his own credit card!
Imagine a Miami bartender’s surprise when a man tries to pay the bartender with his own credit card!
That’s what happened last month at the Clevelander bar in Miami beach.
According to the Miami Herald, the incident happened just before midnight on Monday night, September 11, 2012.
A homeless man, who has now been identified as David Weber, broke into a car and stole a credit card from the car that was parked near the Clevelander.
After apparently breaking into a car and stealing the credit card, the alleged homeless thief was apparently thirsty and wanted a brewsky.
In a strange coincidence which led to then man’s downfall, Weber then walked into the Clevelander bar, placed his order and handed the bartender his own credit card to pay for his order.
The bartender undoubtedly was obviously surprised when he noticed that he was just handed his own credit card.
The bartender then called the Miami Beach police and 53-year-old David Weber was arrested.
He allegedly told police that he simply found the credit card on the ground, apparently trying to avoid being charged with breaking into the car in the first place.
Even if Weber’s story is to believed that he simply found the credit card on the ground, he was still breaking the law by attempting to use the credit card that he allegedly “found”.
The whole man tries to pay bartender with his own credit card could certainly earn a spot on the Americans Dumbest Criminals website that features stories about “dumb” criminals.
Weber was charged with credit card fraud and theft.
