A warrant has been issued for a North Las Vegas man Marvie Hill.
According to 8 News Now, a 19 year old man. who was Hill’s foster son, came forward with allegations of child abuse and open and gross lewdness against Hill that occurred in 2008 when the unidentified man was 15 years old after he was placed in a foster home in North Las Vegas.
An investigation was conducted and an arrest warrant has been issued for Marvie Hill.
Police said Hill was a licensed foster parent but has since been revoked.
Hill’s is a black man, 6’1″, about 215 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Detectives said he frequents the area of Craig Road and Commerce Street. Police believe that he is still in the Las Vegas area.
Every adult who wishes to be a foster parent must go through a screening process to be eligible to give care. The screening process is a contributing factor in the state determining if a child will be placed in a safe environment.
The National Foster Parent Association explains that there are basic requirements for a foster parent to meet, such as references, training, interview, stability in family and a thorough background check including criminal history and finger printing of all members of the household over 18.
