Southwest Las Vegas robbery and beating suspects sought

The southwest Las Vegas robbery and beating suspects sought attacked a female employee at an unnamed store in the vicinity of West Tropicana Ave and Jones Blvd on September 11.

The robbery and beating occurred at approximately 12 noon when the suspects entered the business and posed as customers.

They were apparently trying to use diversionary tactics since the man asked the female store employee to show him some merchandise.

As the man was pretending to look at the merchandise, the female accomplice attempted to take the woman’s purse

The female employee, noticing the woman trying to steal her purse, tried to stop the woman and the man then tried to access the cash register while the employee was trying to stop the female accomplice.

The employee was punched in the face several times during the scuffle and knocked to the ground.

The male and female ended up taking the victim’s purse after beating her.

The area of West Tropicana and Jones has shopping on all four corners of the intersection.

The southeast corner houses an Albertsons and a host of smaller stores, the southwest corner is home to Fresh & Easy, the northwest corner’s anchor tenant is Smith’s and the northeast corner houses a small strip mall and a McDonalds.

Information had not been made available detailing exactly which store the crime occurred at.

Fox 5 Vegas released a description from Metro Police of the suspects.

The male suspect was described as white in his late 30’s, 5’7″ to 5’9″, 150-170 pounds with black hair. Police said he was last seen wearing sunglasses, a black jacket, black pants and black shoes.

The female suspect was described as white in her late 30’s, 5′ to 5’2″, 115-120 pounds with blond hair that was pulled up under a blue ball cap. She was last seen wearing a gray blouse, washed out, light jeans and black sunglasses.
