Simon Gann and Jordan Gann are two very busy con men preying on women. They travel frequently, always looking around for who will be their next mark. That’s their way of life. Their chosen profession.
For the most part, the crimes attributable to Simon and Jordan Gann are not violent in nature however, there has been what appears to be an increase in the amount of violence used, which is certainly a cause for concern. Simon and Jordan Gann seem to have evolved from romantic cons to “doing whatever it takes” type of cons.
There are accounts of some of the Gann Twins victims being threatened, which makes them even more dangerous. A bartender was allegedly stabbed with a pen by Jordan Gann.
As the Gann Twins become more concerned about evading capture since they both face ever growing criminal chargers as well as possibly facing substantial jail time, there is really no telling what Simon Gann and Jordan Gann will do.
The women with them could be in very real danger.
Jordan Gann, the one with the purported drug problem, appears to be using more violence in his crimes, however remember that not all crimes are reported.
Jordan Gann made his way to Utah in late 2003. Using the name Andrew Morales, he conned a luxury car dealer into letting him take one of the luxury cars for a test drive.
Next thing you know, he gets his hands on four car keys worth $600 – two to luxury Ferraris, one to a Bentley, one to a Lamborghini.
According to the Tampa Bay Times, Jordan Gann was arrested October 25, 2003 near Salt Lake City when officers discovered the four stolen luxury car keys on him.
Jordan Gann said that he stole the keys to lend credibility to his identity scam. For a man that has spent his entire life lying and conning people, his statement seems to ring true. Or perhaps it was just another manipulation.
In 2004, according to TBO.com, public records show Jordan Gann served two years in a Florida prison after pleading no contest in 2004 to a felony grand theft charge.
A Panama City, FL police report states two realtors filed the report after Gann took off with a computer they had bought him. It appears they also rented him a hotel room.
The realtors, both women, said in the report that Jordan Gann had posed as a doctor and convinced them he had several million dollars to invest in real estate, so they bought him the computer.
Just before thay con, Jordan Gann had been arrested, again in Florida, after Pensacola police say he conned a bar owner into paying $97 for new scrubs and a lab coat embroidered with the name Dr. Carlos Ramirez, yet another alias.
Jordan Gann purportedly told the bar owner he has deposited $250,000 into the man’s account, and then took $400 from him before disappearing.
Apparently having had enough of Florida for the moment, Gann made his way to Nashville, TN in August of 2004.
Authorities in Nashville arrested a man that they first believed to be Simon Gann, but interestingly, fingerprints later showed the guy they had was actually Jordan Gann, who was wanted in Florida.
Are the thieving Gann Twins, Simon and Jordan Gann, playing the system and just trying to confuse authorities?
It seems likely and based on the small amount of jail time they have served, their strategy seems to be working.
For some reason, judges are not sentencing Simon and Jordan Gann to harsh prison terms.
Law enforcement is doing their job; they’ve been arrested a multitude of times.
The judges are the ones letting Simon Gann and Jordan Gann continue their reign of terror.
It’s quite sad actually that the judges do not find the crimes committed by the Gann’s brothers as “serious” crimes. They can say what they like; however, their actions speak way louder than their words and, quite disappointingly, bespeaks volumes about how many in power really perceive women.
Violence escalated in Nashville, TN when a bar manager in Nashville claimed Gann stabbed him with a pen after refusing to pay an $80 bar tab.
From Nov. 17, 2004 through July 15, 2006, Jordan Gann was incarcerated at the Gulf Correctional Institute in Florida for grand theft stemming from the North Florida incidents.
At this point, it seems that Jordan Gann has spent more time in jail than his identical twin brother Simon Gann.
