The American Automobile Association (AAA) has a wonderful program called Tipsy Tow that will safely get impaired drivers and their vehicles home.
Impaired persons in Northern California, Nevada and Utah who have no way to get home on Christmas Eve simply have to call the Tipsy Tow hotline.
Tipsy Tow Hotline 800-222-4357
and say “I need a Tipsy Tow”.
Drivers are encouraged to plan in advance, so they won’t need the Tipsy Tow service by planning ahead, not riding with someone who is impaired and making arrangements to have a designated driver.
Even with the best laid-out plans sometimes unexpected situations arise and Tipsy Tow can help.

Bartenders, restaurant managers and party hosts are also encouraged to call Tipsy Tow if they notice someone that should not be driving.
The service is terrific because impaired people often refuse a ride home and drive while impaired because they are reluctant to leave their vehicle unattended and will get behind the wheel placing everyone around them at risk.
Tipsy Tow effectively eliminates that argument because they make sure that both the impaired driver home and their car are brought home.
They will even take other passengers to the same destination, as long as there is room.
The service is limited to a one way tow of up to 10 miles and they do not take reservations.
You can call Tipsy Tow anytime from 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve to 6 a.m. on Christmas Day.
