The video of Memphis woman Oriana Farrell driving off after police stopped her in New Mexico for speeding and then struggling with police after she was stopped again has gone viral.
Some are questioning the actions of police who opened fire at the car that had five children in it, while others are wondering what kind of mother would not comply with police in that situation.
She was told that she was being stopped for speeding.
Oriana Farrell was finally apprehended and her 14-year-son was arrested as well when he tried to come to her defense.
So who is Oriana Farrell?

She provided a bogus address to authorities in New Mexico.
She said she was taking the kids on an educational trip.
The address she provided was for the Harding Academy School of Theology.
She uses the name Oriana Lee publicly and has ties with the home schooling community is Memphis.
She’s recorded a video providing parenting tips on her blog.
Is listed as the group leader for Ebony Home Schoolers.
Claims that she’s a writer, poet and recording artist.
Says she is an educator.

So why did she simply not stop her vehicle and comply with police?
Was it because she did not want to be caught with the drug paraphernalia that was discovered in her vehicle?
For her refusal to stop her vehicle, Memphis woman Oriana Fareell, better known as Oriana Lee, has been charged with five counts of child abuse, aggravated fleeing an officer, resisting an officer, reckless driving and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Her son was charged with battery of an officer and resisting arrest.
The rest of the children were placed in the custody of family friends in New Mexico.
