LAS VEGAS — A Las Vegas woman Christina Allen drowned her son in the family’s bathtub on Saturday and said that demons made her do it.
While her three-year-old son Noah Lane Allen was taking a bath without parental supervision, Allen, 30, claims that the demons took over. She said she was lying in bed feeling depressed when she heard “the voices.”
She says she then climbed into the bathtub with her son and asked him if he wanted to go swimming, and he said that he did. Allen then started to hold her son’s head underwater.
Noah was struggling to breath and was able to bring his head about the surface of the water while his mother was in the process of killing him, and he told her that he did not want to go swimming.
Allen continued to push her son’s head underwater until he stopped breathing.
It is unclear if the demons that she claimed communicated with her told her to contact 911 or if she thought if it herself, but she did contact 911.
She was told to remove her son from the tub, but said it was too late.
Police arrived at Allen’s apartment, which she had been residing in for approximately one month, at 6:15 p.m. and transported Noah to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Allen has a prior criminal history and is scheduled to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge involving her ex-husband. She also reportedly was on some type of medication.
Noah’s father Bry Allen was out of town at the time his son was murdered.
Christina Allen has been charged with one count of open murder.
