The Four men indicted in kidnapping Las Vegas teen Melissa Duran are facing numerous charges including first-degree kidnapping, extortion and burglary.
Melissa Duran of Henderson had answered the door to her family home, located near Warm Springs Rd and Arroyo Blvd, at approximately 7:30 am on Friday, 8-31, as she was getting ready for school.
After answering the door, she was abducted by 2 men who later than day contacted her family, at least twice, with ransom demands.
A neighbor’s surveillance video had captured an image of the car used in the kidnapping and the car was later found abandoned and burning near Sunrise Mountain.
Evidence found in the car led police to an apartment complex located on Eastern Ave.

Duran was found in that apartment complex the next day at 4:30 am. Fortunately she was unharmed, although she was blindfolded and tied up in the apartment complex that police raided.
Police were initially baffled since kidnappings for ransom are relative rare in the United States, although they are commonplace in Mexico.
There was some initial speculation that a new job that Duran, a high school senior, had recently taken might have been tied in with her kidnapping but that was not the case.
Ultimately the connection was Melissa Duran’s father who owns a landscaping business.
Some of the 4 men involved in the kidnapping had worked for Melissa’s father in his landscaping business and were fired.
The four men, Alejandro Manuel Sanchez-Sachez, Caesar Sanchez, Mariano Sanchez-Sanchez and Jose Sanchez-Perez, were arrested and placed on an immigration hold.
One had to be extradited from California.
