It is great that Secretary of State Hilary Clinton is recovering from her health scare with a blood clot, however she is not out of the woods yet.
Clinton, 65, has had a hectic schedule during her term and “life on the road” has certainly taken it’s toll on her.
Whether you are a Republican or a Democrat, you have to admire Secretary of State Hilary Clinton.
She’s true to her cause and has certainly has demonstrated the art of finesse in her dealings on our nation’s behalf.
For women, she certainly sets the bar about what can be achieved.
Unfortunately, her grueling schedule has affected her.
How many times have you seen her looking haggard?
Truth be told, it’s been numerous times.
Then she became really sick with the flu and a concussion that sidelined her for 3 weeks.
Fortunately, she had excellent care and follow-up care and that is when the blood clot in her brain was discovered.
You’ll hear reports of it not being serious, however that is simply not true. It is very serious.
Fortunately Hilary Clinton is recovering, however she is not out of the woods yet.
Her diagnosis, cerebral venous thrombosis, is a rare condition and it is potentially life threatening.
The clot causes a backup of blood flow and could have caused a stroke or a hemorrhage, however doctors are saying that Clinton thankfully did not have either.
She is being treated with blood thinners and once the appropriate dose has been established, she will be released.
It is not 100% known what caused the clot, although the Secretary of State did have a clot in her leg in 1998 so she may simply be predisposed to having clots.
Although Hilary Clinton is recovering, she will have to be monitored to make sure that does not develop any serious medical complications that can occur from taking the blood thinners.
With adequate rest, and of course the very best in medical care, the prognosis for Hilary Clinton is bright but she is certainly not out of the woods yet.
