Were Horses electro-shocked at the NFR Las Vegas? It sure seems like they were.
Each and every December, the National Finals Rodeo makes it way to Las Vegas and the event is welcomed with open arms.
December is traditionally a slow time for the casinos and casino executives are thrilled to have a major event that will help generate much needed revenue.
This year there are very strong allegations of Horses electro-shocked at the NFR Las Vegas.
An animal right group, SHARK.org, which stands for SHowing Animals Respect and Kindness has some very disturbing video that clearly shows the Horses electro-shocked at NFR Las Vegas.
Horrifying footage!
Similar types of allegations were raised in 2007 and they were also raised at other major rodeo events across the country.
How can this be? Aren’t the horses supposed to be treated humanely.
What about the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA)? Aren’t they supposed to monitor it?
It seems that Horses electro-shocked at the NFR Las Vegas and elsewhere seems to be tolerated by those associated with the events.
As you will see in the video, judges are standing nearby and the riders, nationally known names, are sitting atop of their horses while they are being shocked so they cannot play the card that they simply had no idea.
It sure seems like it is one big open secret and it happens again and again.
The sad fact is that unless people unite to stop it, these atrocious cruelties will continue.
People simply do not realize the power they have.
If they do not buy tickets to the NFR or support the PRCA, the event will not be successful and they will be forced to bow to public pressure and begin treating the animals humanely.
What about major casino corporate entities like Boyd Gaming? They too can, and should, step up and refuse to help promote anyevent that treats animals so cruelly.
Having Horses electro-shocked at the NFR Las Vegas is something that we, as a community and as a nation, should be deeply ashamed of.
