LAS VEGAS — Irma Mkrtchyan has not been seen by friends or family for more than three weeks.
The disappearance of the 45-year-old woman is so out-of-character and troubling that her brother, Davit Mkrtchyan, from New York is now in Las Vegas trying to find out what happened to his sister.
According to her brother, her ex-husband received a text message from his wife’s phone that said that her cell phone was dying and that her charger was at home. She also said that was going away to California on a business trip with a colleague and that she would return home Friday. She also let her ex-husband know where her car was parked.
Another message was allegedly sent to her place of business indicating that she had a family emergency.
Mkrtchyan, a mother of two adult children, lives with her ex-husband. She is employed as a insurance agent at Farmers Insurance and, according to her brother, her phone is her lifeline.

Her brother seems to be the most concerned about her disappearance and said she has never disappeared before.
As of this moment, authorities have not determined if Irma Mkrtchyan left of her own accord or not.
Irma Mkrtchyan is a 5-foot-5 Caucasian woman, weighs 120 pounds and has blonde hair and brown eyes.
