Charges dropped against 2 teachers for having sex with student

Charges dropped against 2 teachers for having sex with student so it looks like Bambi Dewey 32 and John Stalmach, 31 lucked out.

The “teachers” had been arrested for having sex with a 16 year old student, both separately and together and they will face no charges.

It is certainly not for the lack of trying, though.  Nevada laws prohibits teachers from having sex with their students, not just any student.

The law only applies when the teacher works at the same school where the student attends.

(NRS) 201.550  Engages in sexual conduct with a student who is 16 or 17 years of age and who is enrolled in or attending the college or university at which the person is employed.

Both Bambi Dewey and John Stalmach moved around quite a bit and, even though the 16 year old was a prior student, she wasn’t “their” student when they both having sex with her.

The 16 year old also said that she smoked marijuana with them but apparently there is not enough proof to prosecute the “teachers’ for that either.

District Attorney Steve Wolfson said,

As much as I was personally troubled by their conduct, we can only charge what we can prove beyond a reasonable doubt in court.

That means charges dropped against 2 teachers for having sex with student.

Stalmach has demonstrated “inappropriate” behavior with students in the past and gotten away with it.

According to the Las Vegas Review Journal, Stalmach was previously investigated, suspended and transferred after allegations surfaced he was texting a freshman student and showing her pornographic images. He was not charged with a crime in that case.

All charges dropped against 2 teachers for having sex with student and they resigned from their positions Thursday but there has been no disclosure as to whether they are prohibited from teaching again.

Let’s hope this is not like the case of the Romantic Catholic pedophile Priests who were either transferred again and again or simply got jobs in other cities and continued to abuse.

It does not matter whether the 16 years old girl was the aggressor, as they allege, or not, the behavior of Bambi Dewey and John Stalmach was wildly inappropriate.

They are the adults.
