Besides Metro Police being on the ball to catch people that post their crimes on YouTube, other YouTube viewers were absolutely outraged at the assault witnessed on the Las Vegas Bullying video that quickly went viral, and began posting the names and addresses of the people they believed were responsible for the crime.
Although the names of the kids who beat up a handicapped student have not been officially released, it looks like they are two brothers, Malachi Luna, 13 and Benjamin Luna, 15.
The Luna brothers allegedly taunted and beat up a handicapped student who was injured during the brutal assault that was filmed on an iPad and uploaded to YouTube.
Malachi Luna’s facebook profile shows him in a photo uploaded Wednesday holding an iPad and flashing gang signs while Benjamin Luna’s facebook profile pic is of him giving the finger.
Malachi and Gregory attend Roy Martin Middle School and Benjamin Luna is reportedly home schooled.
The handicapped student, Gregory Sams, was walking home from school when he was attacked. Gregory’s father allowed his son to speak with News 3 and he said he though the attack was racially motivated.
He said he was attacked Wednesday after school and said,
The bigger dude started punching my ear while I’m on the ground. He does it until I’m on the ground and he starts doing it until he thinks I’m dead or something.
The Luna brothers face battery charges. The 13-year-old has been suspended from school.
The boy’s mother, Donna Hernandez, posted a facebook message apologizing for the attack. She said,
Post to all thoughs who saw my son fighting on fb, Im so sorry that this was posted and more sorry for the hurt that was caused to the boy in the video. There is no reason for that kind of behavior, my son well be punished for his actions.
Las Vegas bullying video goes viral and has already led to 2 arrests and there may be more to come since Police are still investigating who filmed the attack.
Wanda Arceneaux, tell Fox 5 Vegas, that her sons, Kendrick and Cedric, were present during the attack and that she and her family are now receiving threats. She did not say if her kids filmed the attack.
