A Las Vegas man, Mark Nemcek, has been arrested for luring children over the internet.
Nemcek, 48, was arrested on Monday, according to online records, and charged with two counts of statutory sex seduction and seven counts relating to luring children or mentally ill persons for a sex act using a computer.
Limited information has been released about Nemcek.
It is believed that he met at least two of his victims on social media and met one victim several times in person.
His booking photo strongly resembles a man with the same name who lives in Henderson, Nev.
Public photos located of that individual show a few photos of a small child in an arcade and on what appears to be on a beach.
A social media profile that we viewed says that he is involved in the Health Care industry with the most recent position listed as Chief Financial Officer of a medical center in Pahrump, Nev.
Both profiles indicate that he is from Illinois.
We have reached out to several people who may be relatives of friends of of his to confirm his identity and have not received any responses yet.
The penalties relating to the crimes Nemcek is accused of can result in a life sentence in State Prison.
He is currently being held at the Clark County Detention Center.
Bail has been set at $160,000.
Nemek’s next court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 26.
