
Las Vegas Woman Sounilak Ouchlaeun drives over boyfriend, killing him.
In Nevada, when domestic violence cases escalate, historically it is usually the male who kills the female.
Not in this case.
The Las Vegas woman Sounilak Ouchlaeun, 33 had some type of argument with her boyfriend, Conrado Mendoza, at their home located near Flamingo Road on Buffalo Drive on November.
The argument escalated and continued in the driveway.
Mendoza’s version is that her boyfriend and a buddy were drinking that day.
She said she and her boyfriend argued and that he attempted to hit her.
The 33 year old Sounilak Ouchlaeun said she got her dogs and attempted to leave.
She said Mendoza was banging on the car saying, “Don’t go, don’t go.”.
She said she backed out the driveway and accidentally ran her boyfriend over, claiming that she simply wanted to leave to give her boyfriend time to cool off.
According to Fox 5 Vegas, Mendoza’s friend says Sounilak Ouchlaeun slapped Mendoza.
Also, the vehicle that Ouchlaeun was driving dragged Mendoza for at least 6 feet before coming to a stop.
Ouchlaeun was arrested on November 21 and charged with open murder. That usually means that a Judge or jury will decide if the charges she will face are first degree murder or second degree murder.
Her hearing was originally scheduled for Monday, however, she needed an interpreter and her hearing was postponed until this morning.
Bail was set at $100K and * News now reports that an evidence hearing is scheduled for December 14th.
She is expected to plead not guilty.
