LAS VEGAS — Mark Picozzi was arrested again for impersonating a police officer and for assaulting a prostitute.
He was first arrested on Jan. 30, after an escort told police that she met with Picozzi in a hotel room at The Cosmopolitan and that told her he was a vice officer.
He told the woman that he knew that she had an outstanding warrant for her arrest and that if she engaged in sexual acts with him that she would not be arrested.
Picozzi, who has prior criminal record in New York, New Jersey and Florida for arrests that include kidnapping, impersonating a police officer and robbery, was rearrested Monday after another victim came forward.
The second victim advertised her services in the adult publication backpage.com.
She said that he charged Picozzi $400 in advance and met him in a hotel room at the MGM Signature Hotel.
As she began to undress, he flashed a gold badge and told her that he was an undercover police officer.
The woman began crying and told him and told him she did not want to go to jail because she had children.
Picozzi allegedly chastised her for being a bad mother and said that he would not arrest her if she performed oral sex on him.
He also took money that was stored in a safe in the hotel room.
In both cases, Picozzi asked the victims for identifying information which they provided.
Authorities urge anyone that may have fallen victim to Mark Picozzi to contact the Las Vegas Metro Police sexual assault division at 702-828-3421.
Picozzi is being held without bail at the CCDC.
