The search has ended for Marvie Hill.
A warrant was issued for the North Las Vegas resident after an investigation was conducted because Hill’s foster son went to police saying that he was abused.
Those wishing to become Foster Parents in Clark County must comply with a number of licensing requirements including; a background check, fingerprinting and leading a lifestyle free from drug/alcohol or law enforcement difficulties.
Somehow Hill, licensed as a Foster Parent since 2008, slipped through the cracks.
It would seem very possible that if he was abusing one foster child that he was abusing others.
The man, who supposedly had a connection to Unity Family Services, an under construction website that lists its office location in North Las Vegas, is now suspected in the abuse of others because other victims, all male, have apparently come forward
8 News Now reports that Hill has an arrest record in July for allegations of lewdness with a minor but the charges were dropped.
It has also been reported that he was allowed to make an arrangement to appear in court tomorrow and to be released on a $40,000 bond which had already been posted.
The first question that comes to mind is why was the arrest warrant squashed and how come this man, Marvie Hill, who stands accused of some very serious charges – 20 counts of open lewdness – was given what on the surface appears to be special consideration?
People accused of far less serious crimes often find themselves forced to spend the night in jail or worse weeks in detention for minor offenses and this alleged abuser, who was a foster parent no less, is allowed to remain free and to be guaranteed his bond in advance, before even walking into court?
An investigation was conducted and a warrant was issued so again, why the special consideration?
Perhaps more information will be available after he appears for his prearranged hearing and guaranteed release.
