More and more women are opting to arm themselves in order to better protect themselves in general especially from sexual assaults. If you do choose to go that route, there are a number of resources available in Las Vegas and Henderson that offer instruction in case you are not familiar with how to handle a handgun.
One important thing to note is that simply possessing a gun does not make you safe. You have to become proficient and confident in handling any weapon and you have to be 100% prepared to use it if needed.
A great starting point to obtain information would be the facebook page of Women of High Caliber. They have regular meetings at the Clark Country Shooting Complex and can help to educate you.
