Las Vegas police quickly made an arrest in the triple stabbing in downtown Las Vegas that occurred in front of Hennessey’s Tavern.
Palomares, 31 admitted that he drank an entire bottle of Vodka.
He was allegedly with three coworker who work at a local Pizza joint and after work the group first went to the Insert Coins bar on Fremont Street,
After leaving Insert Coins, the group was making their way toward Hennessey’s, also on Fremont Street just across Las Vegas Blvd.
Palomares was obviously intoxicated and he was seen bumping into people on the street.
By the tine the group arrived in front of the Tavern, Palomares was wildly throwing punches and at least 2 people attempted to break up the fight.
He stabbed one man in the arm, another an was stabbed in the abdomen and the third victim was stabbed in the chest.
The person suffering from the chest wounds is said to be in critical condition while the other stabbing victims suffered minor injuries.
Fox 5 Vegas said that Palomares fled the scene after the stabbing and he then allegedly called one of the victims on their cellphones.
Since he knew the cellphone number, it appears that he stabbed at least one of his coworkers. The person that he called handed the phone to a Metro Police Officer present and Palomares agreed to turn himself in.
He also left a trail of blood, and ditched the knife but police recovered the weapon.
He was apprehended in the vicinity of Third Street and Lewis Avenue which ironically is near the courthouse.
Palomares is saying that he does not remember anything and only remembers waking up at University Medical Center (UMC)
Palomares has been charged with 3 counts of Battery with a Deadly Weapon with bond set at $60,000.
