The Las Vegas kitten killers have had their hearing delayed again because the Judge in the case wants time to review their full mental evaluations first.
This is the second time the hearing has been postponed.
There has been outrage by ordinary citizens and animal rights groups over this case so perhaps the Judge, Willian Voy, is being extra cautious since the focus is on him and will take appropriate actions against these Las Vegas kitten killers.
It looks like his hands may be tied though due to their age.
In case you do not know what happened, the Las Vegas kitten killers who committed a heinous crime are only 11 years old.
They savagely and viciously threw rocks at a mother cat giving birth, pummeling and torturing the just being born kittens.
Witnesses of the Southwest Las Vegas apartment complex, located near Ft. Apache and Russell roads, alerted police but it was too late.
None survived.
Four kittens died at the scene; 2 were brought to a veterinarian in horrible shape and could not survive the torture that was inflicted on them by the 11-year-old Las Vegas kitten killers.
Those present said it was a horrible, horrible scene; something they will never forget.
The past few cases involving awful, awful animal abuse seems to have fallen on deaf ears within the legal system.
The judges involved doled out “slap on the wrist” type of sentences.
Do you know what they do? They assign the offenders to community service at an animal shelter!
What good does that do, other than provide a smorgasbord of ideas on how to torture other animals?
Should a sex offender who abused schoolchildren be sentenced to community service as a volunteer at an elementary school. Of course not!
These children do not simply need to learn how to treat animals nicely and appropriately. Their problems are obviously much deeper.
They need to learn how to be decent law-abiding human beings and must be taught that there are consequences for their actions.
They face up to 30 days in detention. What good will that do?
Maybe the judge can commit them to a mental facility if someone has the guts to.
One can hope.
The next court date for the 11-year-old Las Vegas kitten killers is December 4th.
