The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office is looking in to a possible link between the disappearance of Sierra LaMar and a red Volkswagen. Red Volkswagen Jetta sought in Sierra LaMar case.

Sheriff’s Sgt. Jose Cardoza said the red sedan being sought has a black hood. Police said the vehicle was spotted at the time and place where LaMar disappeared, though it is not known if the girl was riding inside it, according to the San Jose Mercury News. The photo released by authorities is of a red 1990s, four-door Jetta, although the one being sought has a black hood. Surveillance cameras from buses and neighborhood businesses also spotted the Jetta in the area near where other evidence in the case was found.

Sierra LaMar disappeared from her home and the school bus stop. it is as if she just vanished. There have been numerous searches for the young girl and so far they have all been fruitless.

All too many of our youngsters are disappearing. Perhaps in the day before the internet, we simply did not hear about it as much.

Unfortunately nowadays, it is almost commonplace, occurring across the globe.

With parents working and so many people being divorced and/or raising children on their own, many parents simply have to leave before their children in the morning.

Parents should strive toward educating their kids about the dangers they can face and give them real life scenarios.

I used to think a friend unnecessarily scared her kids with stories of what could happen to them but the more I think about it, the more I think she has the right idea.
