Police found Shauna Ann Tiaffay murdered in Las Vegas on Saturday, September 29, 2012 in her Summerlin condo.
According to the Las Vegas Sun, The Coroner’s Office said that her death was a homicide and that she died from multiple blunt force injuries brought on by assault.
Shauna Ann Tiaffay was found dead inside her residence at the Willowbrook Apartments, located on Pavilion Center Drive near Sahara Avenue and West Towne Center Drive at approximately 9:15 AM Saturday morning.
Tiaffay moved to Las Vegas in 1994 and worked at the Palms as a cocktail waitress from the day they opened in 2001 until her death.
Friends and family struggle to find answers in the murder of the beautiful mother.
She’s been described as someone who never drank, smoked, or abused drugs.
Her sister, Paula Stokes-Richards of Nashville Tennessee traveled to Las Vegas in hopes of finding out why her sister was killed.
She said,
I want to make sure that just because she was a pretty cocktail waitress, that people understand she was an excellent mother, she didn’t party, didn’t even drink.
It appears that Shawna’s 10 year marriage might have been in trouble and she and her estranged husband, George Tiaffay, were reportedly not living together at the time of her death.
Her sister speculated that George Tiaffay, could be involved in the death of her sister because there was allegedly abuse during their marriage.
Coworkers speculate that perhaps a stalker was responsible for the death.
Unfortunately Nevada ranks number one in the nation from violence against women and has held the number one spot for five of the last six years so either scenario is plausible.
