A once prominent Las Vegas Attorney, Nancy Quon, has been found dead in her Green Valley Condo and rumors are swirling that the cause of her death might be suicide.
Nancy Quon had been embroiled in scandal.
At one time, she was the host of a TV show that offered advice to homeowners and homeowner associations. Then the boom lowered with allegations that Quon was part of the behind the scenes conspiracy to takeover several HOA boards where she earned millions of dollars on construction defects lawsuits filed on behalf of residents. The money for the construction repairs was allegedly funneled to companies controlled by those with close ties to Nancy Quon.
In the past, Quon allegedly wanted to kill herself and supposedly asked her former policeman boyfriend to help her and arrange her death ensuring that it looked like a suicide so that insurance investigators would not be suspicious. Nancy Quon vehemently denied that she was involved in the plot, although to this day, the answer is still not 100% clear as to whether she was involved or not.
She reportedly wanted the insurance money to ensure that her family was taken of.
How or why she turned “bad” is not known. Perhaps she was on drugs or maybe it was the influence of her boyfriend. Maybe she had some really deep seated issues that she was able to mask for years.
But in the end, Nancy Quon will be most remembered for all the scams she was involved in turning a once promising career into a life filled with under-the-table deals and an apparent lust for money and power that cost her dearly.
At one time, Quon was reportedly worth more than a staggering $100 million fueling speculation that her wealth was likely the result of her ill gotten gains.
Nancy Quon was 51 years old.
