The Christopher Dorman manhunt continues with officers in both California and Nevada on high alert.
Dorman, who was formerly an officer with the LAPD until he was fired in 2008, detailed the very many reasons why he feels the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has tarnished his name and has vowed to seek revenge.
He has already murdered 3 people.
The daughter of one of the officers mentioned in, what is now known as, the Christopher Dorman manifesto was gunned down Sunday along with her boyfriend and a LAPD officer was murdered.
He has tried unsuccessfully to hijack a boat in San Diego and his identification has been found as well as his burnt out car.
But no Dorman.
Is he still in California? Has Christopher Dorman made his way to Las Vegas? Is he in Mexico?
In Las Vegas, officers are on high alert and have staked out his home on Ft Apache Road.
Dorman wrote about the ease of obtaining guns and says that he created a document on Quicken and had it notarized implicating that this was all he needed to obtain Class III weaponry
He mentioned a gun shop in Las Vegas, Nevada, Lock N Load, in his manifesto and claimed that he was able to purchase weapons there. He wrote,
Lock n Load just wanted money so they allow you to purchase class III weapons with just a notarized trust, military ID.
Shame on you, Lock n Load
According to 8 News Now, the store manager of Lock N Load, Tony Melendez, days that Dorner had come into the store but never brought a gun from him because it would have been against federal law to sell a weapon to someone who is not a full time resident resident.
What was not made clear is if Dorner purchased a weapon or weapons from Lock N Load from another store employee with the documentation that was mentioned in the Christopher Dorman manifesto, however, Melendez went on record with 8 News Now as saying there is no basis for any claims made against the store.
Dorman is expertly trained and appears very willing to die for his cause. He knows he has crossed the line and there is no turning back.
It would seem that he plans to carry out his plans until he is forcibly stopped. Will he able to reach his intended tragets who are now undoubtedly under heavy guard.
It would also seem highly unlikely that Dorman would be taken alive, perhaps taking his own life, if cornered.
A hotline has been set up if you have any information to report about Christopher Dorner at 949-724-7192.
