Las Vegas couple Abby Roberts and Philip Johnson have been missing for over a year.
Roberts was reported missing on Oct. 1 of last year after she did not show up at work and her family believes that Johnson is involved in her disappearance.
A coworker of Roberts says that she and Roberts exchanged text messages on Oct. 2 and that Roberts said she was ending her relationship with Johnson because of his infidelity.
Johnson was last seen in Torrance, Calif. on Oct. 3 after he dropped off their son at his mother’s home.
According to Johnson’s older son who was in the car with Johnson and his infant brother, Roberts was not in the car.
The son noticed that his father’s shirt had blood on it and asked his father about it. He was told that Roberts had punched him in the eye and was staying at her brother’s house for a few days.
Johnson’s bank account in Long Beach showed activity on Oct. 4 and Oct 5.
On Oct. 12, detectives located the couple’s car in Compton and the carpet in the trunk had been removed.
Roberts was very close to her family and they are convinced that she would never abandon her child.
According to the Help Find Abby Roberts Facebook page, Red Rock Search and Rescue (RRSAR) has been actively searching for Roberts in a variety of locations in Las Vegas, including washes and open fields.
Although the family has hopes of finding Roberts alive, RRSAR says that they are in the “recovery stage” indicating that they do not believe she is still alive.
