An early morning Las Vegas movie theater shooting at the UA Showcase Movie Theater has left two people fighting for their lives and the person responsible for the shooting is still at large.
Information is still sketchy, however, it appears that there was some type of fight in the lobby of the movie theater which is located on the Las Vegas Strip near the MGM and GameWorks around midnight this morning .
Apparently a fight or argument broke out between two (2) groups of people who might have known each other. KVVU-TV reports that the two groups of people had ran into each other on the Strip
After the argument one person from one of the groups left and then returned and opened fire on the other group.
One of the injured fell in the lobby and the second person fell in an elevator and ended up on the fifth floor so there were two crimes scenes
They two people shot at the movie theater were transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and remain in critical condition.
Police have not publicly released information as to whether anyone from either of the groups remained at the scene that provided clues to the identification of the gunman.
It is also not known if there was any surveillance footage available from the movie theater lobby, from the elevator or the 5th floor parking garage or if there are any suspected gang affiliations.
