He was only 27 years old when he disappeared and the case of the missing Las Vegas man David Miller, found dead yesterday near Hoover Dam, still leaves many unanswered questions.
He has last been seen on September 4, 2011 at the Summerlin home he shared with his parents.
David Miller’s car was found abandoned at the Galleria Mall on September 10th and authorities had said that his car had been parked at the mall since the day after his disappearance.
Since his disappearance, there were no communications from him.
David Miller was intelligent; he held an Associates Degree from Southern Utah University in criminal Justice, but he seemed to be troubled.
There was evidence found on his computer that Miller had been researching suicide and it was believed that he was in severe emotional distress.
David Miller’s father, Kevin Miller, said that his son did not suffer from any drug issues and was not on any medication. He said;
He may well want to be on his own and that’s great, but we want to know. We just want to make sure he’s not in trouble. He never had trouble with drugs or alcohol or anything like that.
Both parents said he suffered from emotional issues, although the nature of the issues was never disclosed.
There was a massive search in Las Vegas for him with all hospitals being checked and, other than his car being found, information was scarce.
Until yesterday, it was if he had simply disappeared without a trace.
A hiker at Boy Scout Canyon near Hoover Dam found the remains.
There has still been no official word on the cause of death.
Condolences to David parents, Kevin and Michelle Miller. It is certainly not the outcome they had hoped for; however, at least they know that their son has been found
