Very few things can compare to New Year’s Eve celebrations Las Vegas.
I know, New York is great, but it doesn’t compare to ringing in the New Year in Las Vegas.
The New Year’s Eve Celebrations in Las Vegas last all day and night, and the next day too, and then some, in the city that never sleeps and are expected to attract 300,000 visitors.
There are tons of parties, a terrific fireworks display and endless fun for those up to it.
Some people will opt to brave the freezing temperatures crammed in like sardines on the Las Vegas strip.
Others will hang out in downtown Las Vegas at the very reasonably priced Fremont Street experience and still others will partake in the numerous casino events and parties that take over the town.
A pregnant Kim Kardashian will be at 1 Oak at The Mirage, Nicki Minaj at Pure at Caesars Palace, Ice-T and Coco at LAX at the Luxor, the Red Hot Chili Peppers at the Chelsea Ballroom at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, FUN. at Haze at Aria, and Foster the People at the Bank at the Bellagio
If you’ve got the deep pockets, there are still some rooms left. Your best bet is to just to show up at the front desk with large amounts of cash of hand if you did not secure a room beforehand.
Las Vegas Metro Police are out in full force to keep order and typically close the Las Vegas Strip by 5pm. Really, if you can avoid it, you do not want to drive.
Tipsey Tow, a service from AAA, offers free rides to those too drunk to drive and they’ll tow your car – all for free.
Glasses and bottles are prohibited on the strip during New Year’s Eve celebrations In Las Vegas, so the casinos will be doling out their drinks in plastic from 6 pm Monday to 6 am Tuesday.
