It seems that Clark County firefighters were very busy this morning.
In addition to the two casino fires there was a serious fire in Las Vegas that occurred at 3:11 am this morning near Valley View Blvd. and Warm Springs Rd.
It wasn’t clear from reports if the fire either started in an outside fire pit or from the fireplace.
The fire apparently spread through the house and even though it was extinguished quickly, the damage is extensive
Family members were able to escape, however all of the family’s pets did not. One dog and one cat unfortunately died.
The damages to the home has been reported to be in the $150,000-$200,000 range.
The red Cross is assisting the family.
