Las Vegas Mother kills child by stabbing with scissors

In what can only be described as “horrific”, a Las Vegas Mother kills child by stabbing her with scissors. She was later found in a street naked and covered in blood.

Metro police, who said that 27-year-old Danielle Slaughter had been taken to a hospital hours before the 6-year-old’s body was found Sunday in the family’s home near Vegas Drive and Tenaya Way.

Metro Police received a 911 call on Sunday around 6 p.m. that a naked woman covered in blood was running in an area near Jones Boulevard and Vegas Drive. The woman, later identified as 27-year-old Danielle Slaughter, was taken to the hospital for evaluation.  About three hours, her daughter bodys was found.

Police believe Slaughter murdered her daughter and then ran almost two miles from her home.

It does not appear that drugs or alcohol were a factor and the reason the Las Vegas mothers kills child by stabbing with scissors is unclear.

She allegedly heard voices so did she have a history of mental and emotional problems or is it the lingering effects from a prior drug problem?

Since she took off running, apparently something really spooked her.

Mothers killing their own kids seems to be one of the worst crimes for most people to digest.  A mother is supposed to nurture and protect their children not stab them to death with scissors. She cut her daughter’s life short by her unforgivable actions.

For Danielle Slaughter, she certainly lived up to her name; slaughtering her very own flesh and blood.

Slaughter is charged with one count of murder with a deadly weapon and is being held at Clark County Detention Center.  She allegedly was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs or has a prior criminal record.
