Will the recent triple Las Vegas strip murder affect Las Vegas tourism?
A number of local residents are concerned that Las Vegas tourism will indeed suffer in light of the most recent senseless act of violence , a triple murder on the famed Las Vegas strip?
The Las Vegas strip has become more violent in recent years and the latest act of violence, resulting in a triple murder might affect Las Vegas Tourism, since people will become more and more fearful for their safety while visiting the gaming mecca.
The scene that unfolded early Thursday morning was reminiscent of the Tupac Shakur murder in 1996, when he was shot to death by occupants in another car.
On Thursday, two groups of people had some type of argument in the valet area of the Aria at City Center at approximately 4am.
Both groups left the valet area and headed toward the intersection of Las Vegas Blvd and Flamingo Road when the driver of one of the vehicles, a black Range Rover, opened fire on the other car, a Maserati.
The driver of the Maserati, aspiring rapper Kenneth Cherry Jr, better known as Kenny Clutch, a reported Pimp, was shot.
He then lost control of the Maserati and slammed into a taxi cab, driven by Michael Bolden and the taxi bust into flames, killing Bolden and his passenger, Sandi Sutton. Kenny Clutch died at the scene as well.
The Range Rover got away and there is a current multi state manhunt for the occupants of the vehicle.
The dispute might have very well started at the Haze Nightclub at Aria where rapper French Montana was playing.
Many might not really know what really happens in many of the Las Vegas nightclubs, however they are rife with drugs, prostitution and other illegal acts.
If you think about it, how could these nightclubs afford to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to numerous celebrities, simply to make an appearance at their club?
It is because of the culture of the Las Vegas nightclubs and their clientele, or at least a portion of their clientele that they attract, who are able to throw around big bucks that make them extremely profitable.
The Palms Casino Las Vegas was recently fined for allowing numerous illegal acts to occur in their various nightclubs, however the acts that occurred at the Palms can and do occur at the other nightclubs in Las Vegas.
For now, the nightclubs are embraced by the casinos and tolerated by the State Gaming Control board due to the large amount of revenue they bring in, however, as violence continues to erupt in Las Vegas that is largely attributable to atmosphere at the nightclubs and the clientele they cater to, that stance will likely change, since it poses a very real threat to the Las Vegas Casino industry and can, indeed, affect Las Vegas Tourism.
