Ammar Harris, the man arrested for the a deadly shooting on the Las Vegas strip, now has the privilege of having a private attorney, even though he claims he does not have the funds to pay for a private counsel, simply because he has not been able to get along with his previous attorneys from the Public Defenders office.
After partying at the Haze nightclub located at the Aria Casino at City Center in the early morning hours of Feb., 21, Harris and the group he was with were involved in an argument with another group in the valet area at City Center.

Both parties drove away from the Aria, toward the intersection of Las Vegas Blvd and Flamingo Road, when Ammar Harris, who was traveling in a Black Range rover, opened fire on Kenny Cherry who was driving a silver Maserati.
After Cherry was shot, he was shot he lost control of the vehicle, careened through a red light and collided into a taxi cab that exploded.
Kenny Cherry, taxi cab driver, Michael Bolden, and taxi cab passenger, Sandi Sutton all died.
Harris fled the scene and was captured Feb. 28 in North Hollywood, Calif.
Harris, a self-described pimp, maintained a visible presence online and bragged about all the money that he had and the luxurious lifestyle he led as seen in this video below that he posted titled, Count with me”.
Although it is very disturbing that Harris has so openly flaunted his assets and now claims that he is indigent, it is difficult to prove otherwise since most of it is very likely in cash and nearly impossible to verify.
Equally disturbing is that Harris is now going be represented by private counsel, a cost that is ultimately absorbed by taxpayers.
Since Harris potentially faces the death penalty, the state does not want Harris to have any reason to file an appeal if he is found guilty by claiming that he was denied effective counsel.
Harris’ next court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 25.
