George Tiaffay, the husband of Shauna Tiaffay arrested for murdering wife, along with an accomplice, was the one who found her body and called 911.

Friends and family speculated that George Tiaffay might’ve been involved but were hoping he wasn’t.

Her sister Paula Stokes-Richards of Nashville Tennessee had said from the onset that George Tiaffay could be involved in the death of her sister because there was allegedly abuse during their marriage.

Unfortunately Nevada ranks number one in the nation from violence against women and has held the number one spot for five of the last six years. The majority of the murders are committed by someone who is known to the victim.

Shauna Tiaffay was found murdered on Saturday, September 29 in her Summerlin condominium.

It was a violent death and the beautiful mother suffered from multiple blunt force injuries brought on by the deadly assault.

She is remembered by friends as a beautiful, caring person who did not smoke, drink or use drugs.

Shauna Tiaffay worked at the Palms Casino as a cocktail waitress since their opening in 2001 until her death leading to some initial speculation by her coworkers that perhaps a stalker was involved in her death

Although the Tiaffay’s were still married, they were living separately.

George Tiaffay arrested for murdering wife, Shauna Tiaffay

George Tiaffay is a Las Vegas Fire and Rescue firefighter and according to the city of Las Vegas, 8 News Now reports that they have said Tiaffay will stay employed pending the outcome of the investigation.

The other person arrested in connection with the murder is 37-year-old Noel Stevens, who is a neighbor of the Tiaffays.

Regarding the relationship between George Tiaffay and, his alleged accomplice, Noel Stevens, 8 News Now reports that Metro Police Capt. Chris Jones said,

It appears that they have known each other for quite sometime. We believe they met when the Tiaffays lived together and that he was possibly a neighbor of the Tiaffays at one point in time.

Tiaffay allegedly paid Stevens $600 for the murder and numerous items belonging to Shauna Tiaffay were located in areas connected with Stevens.  Some of the items were believed to have been taken from a prior robbery at the Tiaffay home.

Both Tiaffay and Stevens face charges of murder, burglary, robbery, and conspiracy regarding those charges. Online records show that Husband of Shauna Tiaffay arrested for murdering wife has been charged with 10 counts including murder, robbery, burglary, possession of burglary tools and related conspiracy charges.

Goerge Tiaffay was involved in a car accident after the murder of his wife. It is believed he may have been trying to kill himself.
