It has been over 3 months since Isabel Celis, the beautiful and still missing 6 year old girl allegedly disappeared from her own bedroom and there have not been any arrests made.
Although we all always hope for the best, chances are slim that Isabel will be found alive.
There is a ton of evidence, mainly circumstantial that points toward the family yet no arrests, to date have been made.
The night before Isabel Celis disappeared, she attended a little league game and came home.
From there, things get murky. It has been reported that she usually sleeps with her two brothers but on that particular night, she didn’t. And no good plausible reason has been provided as to why not.
Her family claims they put her to sleep at 11pm and she was discovered missing at 8am in the morning by her father Sergio Celis. Many find it very odd, and difficult to believe, that no one checks on a 6 year old for 9 hours – not one peak in the room to check on her.
Her mother Becky Celis, gets up in the morning, fixes herself for work and supposedly leaves the home – without checking on her daughter either. No good morning, no breakfast. Nothing. Becky Celis says she was running late that morning apparently too busy to spend a moment or two with her child.
And then Papa Celis, Serio, goes into his daughter’s room at 8am and discovers Isabel is missing.
He calls 911 and sounds eerily calm. He even jokes with the 911 operator when asked where his wife was. He chuckled and said,
“She had just left for work and I told her to get her butt home”
Becky Celis returns home and does sound more frantic on the call.
Disturbing information then comes to light that Child Protective Service (CPS) had been to the family’s home prior to Isabel’s death, Then, CPS bars Serio Celis from having contact with his 2 sons effectively separating Serigio and Becky.
Blood has been found in Isabel’s room and blood was found on shower curtain that was found in the family car outside . There have been rumors that Isabel wrote a note on the closet wall in her room. Cadaver and scent dogs searched the home and surrounding areas and turned up nothing. If they did turn up anything, it hasn’t been enough to arrest anyone in the Celis household.
What happened to Isabel Celis? Why won’t her parents release the results of the lie detector tests they both took? Is it their usual practice not to check on their daughter for 9 hours? Why did neighbors hear voices on the street by Isabel’s window and yet the family claims to hear nothing? Other neighbors heard the Celis’ dogs barking in the early morning hours.
Isabel’s parents, Sergio and Becky, appeared together yesterday (Friday) at a prayer vigil. Since he has barred from having contact with his sons, the sighting brought forth questions from reporters but the parents would not comment.
The Isabel Celis updates are few. Tucson Police Chief Roberto Villasenor did acknowledged that the case is an abduction and there are suspects, however he would not release names.
The Arizona Daily Star released information about the two young sisters, aged 9 and 11, who made a prank call to the police claiming they were Isabel Celis. They were arrested but not detained. Authorities spent $4,700 investigating the three calls made. How sad that these 2 young girls thought this was “fun”. Hopefully they will be taught a lasting lesson.
The investigation continues into the disappearance of Isabel Celis.
There are over 500 pages of evidence pertaining to the case.
Although the evidence points towards the family, it is possible than an outsider was involved. There have cases of children being abducted from their own bedrooms.
Let’s hope that police do have some credible information and that an arrest will be made soon.
