Police find car sought in disappearance of Sierra LaMar. Police have found a red Volkswagen Jetta with a black hood possibly linked to the disappearance of Sierra LaMar. No other details regarding where or how the car was found, or who owns it were made public..
The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office was able to identify the vehicle based on a combination of witness statements. The vehicle was spotted on March 16 near the place where LaMar disappeared. It is not known if Lamar was inside the car.
“(It was seen) near her mom’s house and near where some of the evidence was found. We’re not going to say exactly where the car was observed,” Santa Clara County Sheriff’ Sheriff’s Sgt. Jose Cardoza told reporters.
Police said the family had been asked about the car but did not know who the owner is.
Police have now determined that previously found items including a handcuff box and used condoms are not related to Lamar’s disappearance.
LaMar has been missing since March 16th.
